Typical Ghost song. First listen is like idk. Then you find yourself playing it all day on repeat using anything you can find as a drum kit. Tobias knows how to make infectious songs. Also love the middle breakdown, so much like Zenith.

I was sad when it didn't appear in Halloween Kills I sat through all the credits waiting.
This song is bad ass, I didnt really like it in the beginning, but luckily did I rediscovere this masterpiece.
I don't really know anything about horror movies but I work at a movie theater and I look forward to this song everytime I clean Halloween Kills. It's so good. I'm gonna miss it when it leaves but I'm glad I found the song on here

Tobias Forge is really good at writing melodies. As far as musical and vocal melodies go, he is probably one of the best writers I have heard in a while. Aside from that, I love how he mixes in late 70s-80s keyboard sounds. It really gives the music a great nostalgic feel, while sounding fresh and vibrant. The only complaint I have is about the direction of the band. Tobias seems to be taking the band more in the direction of a comedy act than going deeper and darker, which is what I was hoping for. This song gives me hope that he will be a more serious and darker from here on out.
@Tyler Nickerson I think it's all part of the act, honestly. Forge created an entire fictional history behind the band which I find very interesting. I'm not sure they've been around that long because their first album (to my knowledge), Opus Eponymous, was released in 2010.

@Tyler Nickerson What do you mean Tobias was chosen as the new front man? Tobias was always the front man. Ghost is his creation.
@Tyler Nickerson That might be the case, but in the beginning, the music was darker and much better in my opinion. That is what drew me to the band. Tobias was writing great music, and the humor, while it was there, was done in a way that didn't distract from the really cool imagery he had going. Now, he is just writing run of the mill foreigner style rock. It does not even fit the imagery anymore. He might as well take the make up off and stop the theatrics.

@Adrian Gonzalez they buried that era two albums ago IMO. They definitely have pushed towards the mainstream/commercial sound. It's not a bad thing at all. Definitely not my favourite and I agree, the majority of the new album for me personally is just ok.

My favorite thing is that the chorus after each Hunter's Moon is literally the Michael Myers theme. They've changed the pitch and things but the syncopation lines up and it sounds so fucking cool.

@KapuLobo Me too, he definitely deserved this spot. As a band that has always referenced horror movies in their music and album artwork, they went full circle and it's so awesome to see the recognition they have been getting over the years, beyond happy for Tobias and the rest of the band.

It has intoxicated me so much I keep playing it over and over and over again it's mesmerizing it's addictive ,the whole album is...... words are just..... I loved this band from the beginning for me this is the best album of the year.
It's a mostly upbeat song, but every so often it unexpectedly dips into minor key in that tell-tale little way that makes me love Ghost so much. Very glad they're holding on to that signature

It sounds most like traditional heavy metal, Glam, maybe a bit of power and prog.
Tobias Forge has truly come into his own. His stage persona, his voice, his mastery of the stage and of course, the best music. Each album he creates is so different from the one before, but each one is just as awesome as the one before. I hope Impera finally gives him the validation and legitimacy of the hard work he has put in over the years. He has paid his dues and has change coming back!

Just discovered this band and now I see what I've been missing! Great stuff! What's really clever about this music is that if you put this song in a slightly different context and production it could be Abba!! Some of their other songs have Opeth / early Slayer type riffs just with less distortion and different production, making it palatable for everyone. Bravo lads, bravo \m/!

At this point, Ghost can do no wrong. Period. It’s been proven. The vignettes, the look, the sound. Yes, last album was a touch “weak” in speed and evil, but overall, this band is a goldmine for the genre.

@neuralmute thank you for this update. I was genuinely curious if M.Persner and Tobias were still on speaking terms, and seems they’re still friendly. He was my absolute favorite Nameless Ghoul and I’m so happy he reassembled MMC (sans Tobias) and having a new album come out early next year.

I've seen Ghost live at an A7X concert. They were before Deftones whom opened up for A7X and I gotta say they sounded really good live. I never heard them before I went to that show and I could hear this music pounding out as we ran to the gate. So glad we still have great music these days and not so much pop bullshit on the airwaves all the time.
I haven't been a ghost fan Until I seen call me little Sunshine and since then I have become a big fan the sound they have is unreal it sounds so good and it kicks ass some bands get away from this sound I hope they keep it we need more music from them

I LOVE that the last couple notes are the original theme just snuck right in at the end. Such a great fucking song from a fantastic band. Tobias Forge is such a talented songwriter, one of the best in the genre and I feel they just continue to get better.

Even as a fan boy I was feeling very "meh" at first but after several listens I'm definitely digging it. The reverb on those drum fills is sexy and the guitar work of picking out the notes in the chorus brings a deeper beauty to the song than if they just played chords. The main guitar riff is cool and "off time" which I dig.
The only criminal part of this song is at 2:24 when the ghouls were gearing up for what could've been a dark, nasty solo and the song goes back to vocals without ever busting that nut. Tragic but overall good tune.
They need to keep this in mind during live shows.😂

This is a common theme for me with new Ghost songs. I remember the first time I heard Square Hammer and I didn't think much of it. Fast forward to today and it's one of my most played Ghost tracks.
The drums are thicker than molasses. It is the same on "Call Me Little Sunshine." I keep wanting Ghost to get less polished, and Tobias keeps getting more polished... and I like it.
