Holy fuck did this make me lol. Thanks, BP! I too have scorned Ghost's pop rock sound and move away from their more sinister older stuff but this song is so fucking catchy! I've been playing it on guitar the last few days and it's a great song for amateurs to play.

They don’t have a bad song.

I got into them between Infesstissumum and Meliora. I remember listening to Circe when it first came out and immediately preordering it. It was the first time in my life that I consciously followed a band when they released their magnum opus and blew up as a result. Definitely a magical experience. Wound up seeing them three times during the Meliora and Popestar album cycles. Wasn’t a fan of Prequelle as a whole record, but this song and Hunter’s Moon give me hope for yet another classic from them!

Its that Queen vibe man. Everyone knows they have that sound but Id say they defintely stand on their own.

To everyone arguing above, its never really been a band. It is and has always been the Tobias show with hired musicians. And I have no issue with it

@Sumwun Speshal Tobias always wrote the vast majority of Ghost's music, and did most of the studio work, too. The only ghoul who did any serious songwriting was Martin Persner, aka Omega, who's now with Magna Carta Cartel. He testified on Tobias' side during that debacle of a lawsuit, and they're still pals, so I think it's fair to say that Ghost has always been Tobias' project. It's like in the 90's, when every NIN album said in the notes "Nine Inch Nails is Trent Reznor". We've known for a long time that offstage, Ghost is Tobias Forge.

To be fair "the band" ended on after Meliora album.
Now it's only Tobias writing all material solo.
